Spring is a good time to bring the new from the old. The website has a new design. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Bev's Bits is here to bring you encouragement, news, and tips for healthy living. Please email me (info@lifechangeliving.com) with triumphs and concerns. I am not qualified to answer medical questions but I will do my best to answer what I know, discuss healthy living options with you, share what I do, and point you to good sources for products or information.
This section of the website will ebb and flow as your responses come in. There are wonderful shows on TV and radio that bring out intriguing health ideas. Most advice rests on good food preparation as a basis for following advice and news given. You and I can work together to make this important part of life possible.
News
In heating food safely - There is discussion from a number of reputable sources about the danger of dioxin in food. I have read information from Dr. Mercola, Johns Hopkins and others. It is too big a subject for me to make pronouncements, but the consensus from these sources is to heat your food in non-reactive containers (inert): heat-resistant glass, ceramic, and stainless steel. Use the container that suits the heat source.
Your voices are being heard. The food producers are scrambling to provide food without transfats, with more fiber, non-genetically modified ingredients, etc. The scientists have been warning them but the pocketbook rules.
CONTEST
